Happy Witches’ New Year!!

It seems exceedingly appropriate that this holiday should land on a Wednesday, a day that for me is very focused on introspection and thinking about where I am going or where I have been. Samhain is a good day for such things, as it is the epitome of the crossroads. It is the time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, allowing the spirits to cross over into our realm.

There is a reason why so many cultures celebrate the dead at this time of year, and in so doing, we celebrate those who have gone before us, those who make us who we have become, and those who will help shape us into what we will eventually be.

The Last Day before NaNoWriMo begins!!

While a large portion of the world is dressing up to celebrate Halloween, I and several other writer procrastinators will be scrambling to get all our last minute touches to our outlines, or putting together our writer’s emergency kit. Some of us are just getting around to announcing our novel and signing up. Some of us are kicking ourselves for not buying the Preptober kits that I kept seeing all over the internet…

But whatever you’re doing today, tomorrow you will be writing!

In spite of politicians.

I’m trying something new. I have been doing the Weekly Coffee Share for a while, but several of the people whom I consider to be my online friends do a weekly smile or gratitude post. I know the wonderful lady over at Daisy Smiley Face (who did the Weekly Rewind for a bit) invented the word “gratitudinous” for hers, and Trent does the Weekly Smile (click the link for the list of rules).

I figure I might as well add my own little cup of sunshine into the mix!
