Even though it’s almost the middle of the month, I want to try something. I read somewhere that one of the ways to help you keep up with your content is to have a theme for the month. Seems fitting that a theme for this month would be something as simple as Beginnings!
I wish I had thought of this before I started doing my weekly Twitter chat; I could have combined the themes, but this month’s Twitter chats have thus far been about what to do AFTER you’ve finished your novel. Yesterday’s chat was about how to connect with book bloggers and why writers might want to do such a thing.
I suppose that could be a beginning of sorts: the beginning of a new relationship, or for some of the writers in attendance, it was the beginning of an idea (they’d never considered such a thing before).
It’s not exactly what I would have done if I’d thought to have the whole month be about beginnings, though. It feels a little awkward.
But now I have a plan so, for the rest of the month, expect to read about beginnings!
Already, I have a post in progress about first dates in this digital age of dating, and I’ve got an idea about a writing post about introducing characters. We’ll see how it goes. If you have any suggestions, I’m open to them! Keep in mind I only have a couple of weeks left for this month.
So it’s going to be a bit of a rocky beginning this month, but at least I have a way to keep myself on task with my blog posts now!
Baby steps, right?
