Good afternoon Coffee Share peeps! Today will have to be a quick chat. With only one week of summer left before I have to go back to work, everything is in fast forward! So come on in, grab you a cup of tea or coffee (I’m working on a smoothie) and let’s chat!
I’m writing at the very end of our Weekend time this week, so if we were sharing our lives over coffee, mine would be more milk than coffee in honor of Imbolc, which I’ve somewhat been celebrating all weekend long.
We’d also be watching the Super Bowl since that is also going on at the moment.
It seems exceedingly appropriate that this holiday should land on a Wednesday, a day that for me is very focused on introspection and thinking about where I am going or where I have been. Samhain is a good day for such things, as it is the epitome of the crossroads. It is the time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, allowing the spirits to cross over into our realm.
There is a reason why so many cultures celebrate the dead at this time of year, and in so doing, we celebrate those who have gone before us, those who make us who we have become, and those who will help shape us into what we will eventually be.
Good evening Rewinders! This week everything is a little wonky. Again, I didn’t get the #WriterWednesday post up on time… or at all! Again, the weekly rewind is a little late, though I promise to post before the weekend is technically over. But, hopefully, after today is done I’ll be back on track. It’s been a busy weekend!
For that matter, it’s been a relatively busy week!!
As such, the soundtrack for this week’s rewind is full of trance and dubstep.
(This was supposed to post yesterday, so just pretend you’re reading it on Sunday)
Good afternoon Rewinders! I have to admit I’m in a fairly wonderful mood! While on the one hand, it seems imminent that I’m going to be forced to do things that aren’t what’s best because Some don’t see the value in my way, on the other (the one that is more important), I’m being constantly reaffirmed for my gifts. My success lately is in being able to identify that those positive affirmations of my talents are more important, and more true than the criticisms in my methods.
And that’s where today’s title comes in: Make a choice…
